The Indian Ranch Campground And Music Venue
From weddings, dance parties, banquets, outings and outdoor
concerts, the Indian Ranch can provide for them all. It also serves as a
lakeside campground. With its humble beginnings as a resort located on Webster
Lake, this venue has vastly improved in terms of equipment, lighting and sound
systems, while retaining its picturesque charm.
In the 1940s, a local Native American named Ernest Wallis, developed a small resort and leased it to George Mahoney and his wife, Florence. The couple operated the business and made arrangements for entertainment. George was a performer himself and he often performed with his talented partner.
Today, the Indian Ranch doubles as a campground and a music venue, making it convenient for nature buffs and music lovers. It is known for its summer concert series and has been considered as New England's Country Music Capital. Country music giants such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Rimes and Blake Shelton have performed in this place. A lot of campers come with their camping vehicles to spend the weekend enjoying the lake and listening to great music.
The ranch also hosts other activities all throughout the season such as sing-alongs and dance parties. Moreover, it is equipped with Internet access, showers, laundry facilities, boating equipment and a game room making it the perfect get away for families. Satisfied consumers continue to go back to the ranch because of its features and its affordability. For most shows, parking is free while in some shows, food and beverages can be brought in without a fee.
